Liz's Marriage to Kynn

Liz is married to Kynn Bartlett, a web guru whose focus is accessible web design. Kynn is a web designer, programmer, educator and published author.

The Meeting

[First Meeting]
Kynn and Liz met on the net way back in March 1992. In February 1993, they first met in real life when Liz flew to California for a couple of weeks; here's a picture from that vacation. It was so long ago that Liz had to mail the photo to another net friend in the US who was the only person they knew with a scanner.
Liz flew over a couple more times that year, and the next year, Kynn flew to England - just a week after the big Northridge earthquake. They managed to fit in a few days in Paris, and then in March Liz flew to the US to settle permanently. Their first home was an apartment in Pasadena, but when Liz's dogs arrived from England, they moved to a house in Covina. They became engaged in September 1994 and were married in July 1995.

The Wedding

[Wedding Picture]
Their wedding took place on July 22nd 1995, in the remote mountain town of Idyllwild, California. It was a small affair, attended mostly by family and close friends. They honeymooned in Twenty-Nine Palms and San Diego, and were given the use of a rental car for the period by one of the web design clients of the firm that Kynn was working for at the time. You can read more details about the actual wedding plans here.

Married Life

After the wedding, they continued to live in Covina until 1998, when the purchase of a new puppy promoted the move to a more spacious house and yard in Corona. Although the puppy did not ultimately work out, they stayed in the house until November 2000, when they purchased their first home together, in Lake Elsinore. See the house photos section for more details of this, their dream property.
At Kynn's 1996 High School Reunion dinner, a picture was taken of Kynn and Liz, their first formal portrait after getting married. Kynn is currently involved in organizing a reunion for his elementary school, Fremont Elementary in Alhambra.
