NOTE! I do not believe that hedgehogs are suited as pets. My interest in them is purely as a wild animal, or in fiction, or as a toy or ornamental representation. Please do not write to me to ask me if you should get a hedgehog as a pet, or ask what to do if your hedgehog is sick. I am in no way qualified or experienced to answer such questions, having never "owned" a hedgehog, or personally known anyone who did.Your veterinary surgeon is the one to answer that for you. I remain firmly convinced that hedgehogs are far happier left as wild animals than kept in the home.
